Heidi Klum helps rescue son Henry from drowning in ocean during Hawaiian vacation

Mommy to the rescue!
Heidi Klum’s Easter holiday hopped quickly away from fun in the sun to a terrifying experience when her 7-year-old son, Henry, nearly drowned.

While vacationing in Oahu, Hawaii Sunday with her family, the supermodel’s son and two of his nannies were taken by a large riptide.
“We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave,” Klum told Us Weekly. “Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water.”

The rescue mission was aided by Klum’s bodyguard boyfriend Martin Kirsten but little Henry was able to get himself out of the troubled waters.
“Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land,” she described. “We were able to get everyone out safely.”

Prior to the drowning scare, the family - - which also includes children Leni, 8, Johan, 6, and Lou, 3 - - was enjoying the Hawaiian sun on a festive holiday.
Klum, 39, even tweeted a photo of colorful eggs hidden along the shoreline with the caption, “Happy Easter!”
Outside of being a heroic mother, Klum will join the judges table for the next season of “America’s Got Talent.” She and fellow newcomer, Mel B, replace Sharon Osbourne and join the show’s vets Howie Mandel and Howard Stern.
“I’m really excited to join the panel of ‘AGT’ to see it all — from the ridiculous to the fantastic!” she said in a previous statement. “I love the surprise element of the show and not knowing what we’ll see next and who will wow us.”
